Statement by PJSC ODESKABEL regarding counterfeit cable products on the market

PJSC “Odeskabel” officially declares: numerous cases of distribution of cable products marked under the PJSC “Odeskabel” brand or similar to the PJSC “Odeskabel” brand to the extent of confusion have been recorded on the cable and wire products market in Ukraine, in particular under the names “Odesa-GOST,” “Odesa Cable,” “Odesa,” and others, which mislead consumers as to the manufacturer of such products, in particular PJSC “Odeskabel.”

PLEASE NOTE: none of the above trade names are related to the national manufacturer of cable and wire products, PJSC “Odeskabel”. The above products are of unknown origin, with unverified technical characteristics, without confirmation of quality and compliance with standards!

Counterfeit goods may not comply with:

• the requirements of the technical regulations restricting the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, and the technical regulations for low-voltage electrical equipment;
• standards for radio frequency equipment and communications equipment;
• fire and electrical safety standards.

The use of untested products poses a number of risks, including:

• overheating and fire hazards in electrical wiring;
• malfunction of electrical and telecommunications equipment;
• electric shock;
• disruption of communications, security, and fire alarm systems, including at military and critical facilities;
• danger to life, human health, and safety.

Official products manufactured by PJSC “Odeskabel” are supplied through our official partners with whom we have concluded relevant supply agreements, retail chains such as Epicenter, Leroy Merlin, Nova Linia, Oldi, and others, the Odeskabel PJSC brand store, and regional branches of Odeskabel PJSC. The products have the appropriate markings and a full set of documents: certificates of conformity, declarations of conformity, and the relevant technical documentation from the manufacturer, Odeskabel PJSC.
